"Our international airlines have embraced the campaign, providing Melbourne with increased competitive flight services to a range of fantastic destinations in the lead up to Christmas. There are more international flights than ever departing from Melbourne Airport - flying to a great range of destinations at excellent prices" Melbourne Airport Executive General Manager Corporate Development Damian Tkalec said.
This is a great outcome for Victorian travellers whose choice of flight options continue to increase whilst flight prices stay competitive, having the added value of supporting the Victorian economy.
"Retaining and increasing passengers on international flights is not only of obvious value to individuals travelling, it is also integral to the Victorian economy. Increasing the number of passengers on international flights will result in more flight services and more jobs", Mr Tkalec said.
