Pick-up and drop-off of disabled passengers
Most airlines provide services under prior arrangement to assist disabled passengers being picked up or dropped off at the front of the airport.
Services provided by airlines include wheelchair assistance. Passengers must request this service when booking their ticket and reconfirm with the airline prior to travelling.
Designated drop-off bays are allocated in front of the terminals to facilitate wheelchair transfer for passengers; however, for security reasons, the driver must remain with the vehicle at all times.
Arrangements can also be made with your airline to provide a wheelchair and employee to assist passengers on their return to Melbourne. Airline staff can escort passengers to special pick up bays on the road alongside the terminal and wait while the driver collects their car and returns to pick up the passenger.
Please see below for the allocated locations for disabled parking on the arrivals (ground) level.
