Commercial Vehicles

A number of commercial operators including limousine drivers, tour buses, hotel shuttles and off-airport buses access Melbourne Airport’s forecourt.  For safety security and operational reasons, these operators and their drivers require permits.

A Current Drivers Certificate or Commercial Passenger Vehicle License issued by the Victorian Taxi Directorate does not automatically permit drivers to pick up passengers from Melbourne Airport or park in the Premium Parking Car Park.

The first step all Hire Car operators must undertake is to lodge a  Hire Car Operator Registration Form

Once this form has been lodged and approved, companies may apply for the the necessary new Vehicle or Landside Driver Authorities.
