    Rideshare

    Rideshare drivers pick up travellers from two locations:

    • Terminal 1, 2 & 3 passengers (Qantas, International and Virgin Australia) from lane 3 of the Terminal 1, 2 & 3 forecourt.
       

    • Terminal 4 passengers (Jetstar, Rex or AirNorth) from Level 2 inside the Terminal Car Park at Terminal 4. 

      ​Please note public pick up and drop off areas in Terminal 4 are currently closed to the public. Until further notice rideshare pick up and drop off will occur in the Terminal 1, 2 & 3 lanes.
       

    A rideshare access fee of $4.54 (inc. GST) applies per trip. Rideshare passengers can be dropped off at any of the public drop off areas. These are located anywhere along Departure Drive and the Terminal 4 Transport Hub drop off zone on Level 1.

    Where do rideshare drivers wait for passengers?

    The Ride Share pick up point is located at Lane 3 of the forecourt and Level 1 of the Terminal 4 Car Park. Rideshare operates a virtual queue to accept bookings on a first in first out basis.

    Am I charged more to use Rideshare from the airport?

    The current Rideshare charge is $4.54 (Inc. GST) per pick up trip from the airport, which Rideshare may choose to pass through to the passenger.

    How much does it cost to catch an Rideshare from the airport to the CBD?

    Each rideshare operator as the provider of the service is responsible for determining the price it charges its riders. You can get fare estimates on the respective rideshare operators app.

    What forms of Rideshare are available?

    uberX, UberBLACK, Ola, Didi, GoCatch and Shebah.

    Can I schedule a ride in advance?

    Travellers can request a scheduled ride from their home to the airport.
    Here’s how:

    1. Tap the icon next to the destination box.
    2. Select a date and preferred 15-minute window of time when you will be ready for pick up.
    3. Tap 'set pickup time'.
    4. Set your destination
    5. If needed, edit your pick up location by tapping the address next to the calendar icon on the map.
    6. Review your fare estimate.
    7. Tap 'schedule'.
    8. Tap 'schedule trip' to confirm.

    Scheduled rides are not available for pick-ups at the airport. Use the mobile App to make a regular Uber booking which has a regular supply of Uber vehicles.
