    2019 Melbourne Airport Excellence Awards

    Nominations for the 2019 Excellence Awards have now closed.

    Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to nominate the exceptional individuals, organisation, contractors, volunteers and suppliers who are making our airport one that Melbourne can be proud of.

    We are currently working through the nominations received in preparation for our Awards evening, which will be held on Thursday, 20 June at The Aviary, Crown Towers.

    Award categories (individual)

    Excellence in Aviation (open to airline and ground handling staff)

    Excellence in Retail (open to landside and airside retail staff)

    Excellence in Hospitality (open to landside and airside venue staff)

    Excellence in Commercial Transport (open to drivers as well as share car support staff and rental car staff)

    Excellence in Customer Service – Volunteer (open to all volunteers)

    Excellence in Customer Service (open to all airport workers not eligible for sector-based awards)

    Marc Storti Award for Safety

    Barista of the Year (entry and judging is separate to the categories above) 

    Chairman’s Award for Excellence (open to / selected from all of the above category winners, except Barista of the Year)

    Excellence in Teamwork & Collaboration (open to any team or group of collaborators who work towards the Melbourne Airport vision) 

    Airline of the Year 

    Retailer of the Year 

    Hospitality Venue of the Year

    Lounge of the Year (judged by a third party)

    Contract Service Provider of the Year
