    • Peter Hay
      Peter Hay

      Chairman – Appointed July 2019 Mr Hay has a strong background and breadth of experience in business, corporate law, finance and investment banking advisory, with particular expertise in relation to mergers and acquisitions. He was a partner of the legal firm Freehills until 2005, where he served as Chief Executive Officer from 2000. Before that he had been the Chairman of the Melbourne firm's Board for a number of years, and was the senior partner in the mergers and acquisitions practice. Mr Hay has extensive experience in corporate strategy, corporate governance matters, and corporate systems including due diligence, continuous disclosure, risk management and compliance systems. He is currently Chairman of Newcrest Mining and Acting Chairman of Vicinity Centres. Mr Hay is a former director on the boards of GUD Holdings, Myer, ANZ Bank, and Alumina.

    • Dr Raphael Arndt
      Dr Raphael Arndt

      Director – Appointed August 2019 Raphael Arndt was appointed as the Chief Investment Officer of the Future Fund in 2014. He leads a multi-disciplinary investment team, managing A$200 billion, making investments across all asset classes and geographies. In particular he focuses on the Fund’s ‘joined up’ investment process, bringing together top down macro views and bottom up sector opportunities to construct the best overall portfolio. Raphael was previously the Fund's Head of Infrastructure and Timberland where he was responsible for establishing both the Timberland and Infrastructure investment programs. Raphael is also Chairman of the Investment Committee and a Board Member of the Melbourne Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, Australia’s largest community foundation. Raphael started his career as an Engineer working with Ove Arup & Partners in Melbourne and London. He holds Engineering and Commerce degrees and a PhD from the University of Melbourne.

    • Lyell Strambi
      Lyell Strambi

      Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer – Appointed November 2015 Mr Strambi joined APAC in September 2015. Mr Strambi has extensive experience spanning more than 30 years in the aviation sector both in Australia and overseas. Before joining APAC, Mr Strambi spent six years at Qantas, the last two as CEO of Qantas Domestic. Prior to this Mr Strambi worked for eight years at Virgin Atlantic Airways based in London.

      Lianne Buck

      Director – Appointed October 2016 Ms Buck is a highly experienced leader, combining current board and governance experience with a successful career as a senior investment professional. Ms Buck has extensive experience in investment management, strategy, corporate finance, business transformation and government and stakeholder management. In addition to APAC, Ms Buck currently serves on the boards of ISPT, Spark Infrastructure RE Limited and is an Advisory Board member to Amicaa Advisors and a Specialist Advisor to NSW Treasury Corporation’s (‘TCorp’) Management Investment Committee. Ms Buck was previously a Director on the board of Utilities of Australia and the Head of Direct Investments and Infrastructure for TCorp.

    • Michael Cummings
      Michael Cummings

      Director – Appointed March 2015 Mr Cummings is the Head of Funds – Infrastructure at AMP Capital Investors for Australia and New Zealand. In addition to APAC, Mr Cummings is on the board of Powerco NZ, and is Alternate Director on Interlink (M5 Toll Road) and Evergen Pty Ltd. Mr Cummings has over 26 years of international experience in the infrastructure sector – having held senior executive positions in a number of major energy infrastructure companies.

    • Danny Elia
      Danny Elia

      Director – Appointed October 2015 Mr Elia is the Executive Director of Global Asset Management at IFM Investors where he is responsible for driving IFM Infrastructure’s asset management strategy across the Australian and Global Infrastructure funds. Previous roles include CEO of South Australian Health Partnerships, Director of Public Private Partnerships for Leighton Contractors, General Manager of Transurban Victoria and Finance Director of Linfox Logistics Asia Pacific.

    • James Fraser-Smith
      James Fraser-Smith

      Director – Appointed September 2016 Mr Fraser-Smith is a Director in the Infrastructure and Timberlands team at Future Fund. Mr Fraser-Smith has significant asset management experience including Board representation on a range of infrastructure assets, including Sydney Desalination Plant, ElectraNet (the South Australian transmission network), Ballarat Water, Port of Portland, Sydney Airport Link and Mater Hospital (Newcastle).

    • Debbie Goodin
      Debbie Goodin

      Non-Executive Director – Appointed March 2020 Ms Goodin has diverse executive experience in operations, finance, M&A and corporate services, and has worked globally, and in both the public and private sectors. In addition to APAC, Ms Goodin is on the boards of Senex Energy Limited, Atlas Arteria Roads Limited and APA Group. For each of the boards that Ms Goodin is appointed, she is the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, and also is a member of various Remuneration and Health and Safety Committees. Previously Ms Goodin was on the board of Beyond Bank Australia, Citywest Water Corporation, oOh!media and TEN Network Holdings. She was until recently appointed as a member of the Strategic Finance and IT Committee for Royal Women’s Hospital. Ms Goodin has a Bachelor of Economics degree, is a Chartered Accountant and has formally qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner and is a Fellow of the Williamson Community Leadership Program.

      David Kenny

      Director – Appointed December 2015 Mr Kenny is an Investment Director, Infrastructure at AMP Capital Investors. Previously Mr Kenny worked for Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (OTPP), where he was General Manager, Business Development. He also served as General Manager, Corporate Finance at Downer Infrastructure in Sydney, and worked in both Sydney and London for Macquarie Airports, where he held senior roles including that of Chief Investment Officer.

    • Grant Devonport
      Grant Devonport

      Chief Financial Officer– Appointed February 2019 Mr Grant Devonport was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Australia Pacific Airports Corporation (APAC) in February 2019. As APAC’s CFO, Grant is responsible for all corporate secretariat, legal, financial, risk, procurement, safety & environment, technology, investor relations and treasury functions. APAC is the owner and operator of Melbourne and Launceston Airports, with an enterprise value in excess of $6 billion. Grant has extensive commercial experience as a CFO spanning more than 20 years across multiple industries and geographies including banking & finance, superannuation, media, transport, logistics and supply chain and retail. Grant’s experience includes strategy development, execution and leading transformational change. Grant is a Graduate of Massey University, is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Mentor for the Financial Executives Institute of Australia.
