Melbourne Airport is Victoria’s gateway to the world and a vital asset as an anchor employer for the local region. Our vision is to create an airport that Victorians can be proud of and that delivers tangible benefits to local areas.
As part of this vision Melbourne Airport is seeking to construct a new hotel located in close proximity to Terminal 4. With on-site accommodation regularly at capacity, the inclusion of a 464 room hotel will capture a significant number of commuters and visitors.
The development will turn an underutilised, accessible, and high quality urban site that will bring economic and social benefit to the region through improved accommodation choice, competitive pricing and employment opportunities.
The hotel will be built over a period of two years, to commence in 2018.
The proposal is currently on public exhibition for 60 business days from 14 December 2017 to 19 March 2018.
The Preliminary Draft Major Development Plan is available for inspection or purchase at the Australia Pacific Airports Melbourne offices, Level 2, T2 - International Terminal, Melbourne Airport, between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
