Online Booking FAQs

  • Can I receive a refund if I stay shorter than my pre-booked time?

    Online bookings offer a discount price on parking, however they are only available for pre-bookings only. Once you enter the car park, you won't be able to change your length of stay. You won't be eligible for a refund if you end up staying shorter than your booking period.

  • How do I change the arrival or departure date or times on current booking?

    All fare types can be amended up to 2 hours prior to your booking entry time. Simply go to 'manage my booking' to cancel your booking. See parking terms and conditions for full details. If there is a fare difference for your new booking, you will be required  to pay any difference.

    When amending a booking, the first booking is cancelled and the amount is refunded to you. The second amendment is then charged to your credit card and a new booking is created with a new booking reference number. Please note that the banks can take up to five business days for the funds to clear back into your account. If however there is no value change then it will prompt for the card number only confirming it’s you changing the booking and not charge or credit again, it then supplies a new booking ref number.

  • How do I cancel my booking?

    For your flexibility and convenience, all our fares can be cancelled, free of charge, up to 2 hours prior to your booking entry time. Simply go to 'manage my booking' to cancel to your booking. See parking terms and conditions for full details.

  • Can I enter the car park earlier or later than my confirmed booking time?

    You may arrive up to two hours before your booked entry time. If you arrive any earlier than the time prior to two hours before your booked entry time, you will be charged at drive-up rates for your entire stay (noting that these rates may vary from the rates quoted via the online booking system) and you will not be entitled to a refund or credit on those charges.     You may enter a car park any time after your booked entry time, or exit a car park any time before your booked exit time, without incurring any additional fees. If you exit a car park before your booked exit time (as confirmed by Melbourne Airport via email), you will not be entitled to a refund or adjustment. There is a one hour grace period for exit after your booked exit time. If you exit more than one hour after your booked exit time, you will be charged for the extra time beyond one hour after your booked exit time at Melbourne Airport’s Overstay Tariff car park rates (noting that these rates may vary from the rates quoted via the online booking system) and you will not be entitled to a refund or credit on those charges.   • Can I book online for a short stay?

    Yes, online bookings are available for short or long stays. Please note that you must book at least 2 hours prior to your arrival time when making a booking online.

  • Can I book accessible parking?

    All of our car parks have accessible bays available and you can follow the online booking instructions. Once you arrive, simply proceed to any of the allocated accessible bays within the carpark. View the location of our accessible bays. 

  • I've lost my booking confirmation – what do I do?

    If you made your online booking after August 8, 2023 you will need your QR Code to enter and exit the car park you booked, ​which will be included in the booking confirmation email we sent to you. ​If you misplace the Booking Confirmation email, you can resend a copy ​by searching for your booking at "Manage My Booking" or by logging into ​your account. If you need help when entering or exiting the car park, please press and hold the “Help” button on the gate machine and our Customer Service team will help.

    If you made your online booking before August 8, 2023 and have lost your confirmation email, simply tap the credit card you used to make the booking at the boom gate. Please press and hold the "Help" button at entry if you're experiencing issues.

  • What are the parking options for motorcycles?

    Motorcycle parking is available in all Melbourne Airport car parks, including a special designated area in the Terminal Car Park at Terminals 1, 2 & 3 (located on the ground floor as you exit the helix ramp). Normal car parking rates apply for motorcycles.

    Bicycle racks are available on the ground level of the Terminal 1, 2 & 3 Car Park (located next to the front of house car rental offices). Please note, it is not permitted to park bicycles on footpaths, walkways, entry/exit doors, next to fire hydrants/hose reels or in stairwells.

  • What's the maximum time I can park my car for?

    You can book online for up to 45 days of parking. Drive up parking is available for an unlimited time period, however you'll need to notify us if it's longer than 60 days.

  • How often does the Value Car Park courtesy bus run?

    The FREE shuttle service operates 24/7 every 15 minutes to Terminal. With stops at Terminal 4 (with a short walk to T2 and T3) and a second stop at Terminal 1, you’ll be at the door in no time.

  • Where does the Value Car Park courtesy bus stop?

    There are 8 stops in the Value Car Park and stops at every terminal in the following order: Terminal 4, Terminal 3 and Terminal 2, then Terminal 1.

  • Where can I park my bike?

    There are bicycle racks available on the ground level of the Terminal 1, 2 & 3 Car Park. Please note, it is not permitted to park bicycles on footpaths, walkways, entry/exit doors, next to fire hydrants/hose reels or in stairwells. Bicycles left in non-permitted places will be removed.   • Can I bring a different vehicle to the one I registered with my booking?

    If you choose to drive a different car on the day, please update your booking with new registration details. Simply go to 'manage my booking' to update to your booking up to 2-hours prior to your booked entry time.

  • What are the height and length restrictions of your car parks?

    Height restrictions of our carparks are:

    • Terminal car parks (T123, T4) = 2.2m
    • Premium parking = 2.2m
    • Value Car Park =3.3m
    • Business Car Park = 2.3m

    Please contact us if you need to bring an oversized vehicle to the airport.
