1. Overstay Guarantee Refunds are granted if you were prevented from returning to Melbourne Airport to collect your vehicle and exit the Melbourne Airport carpark as per your online booking for one of the following reasons:a) your return flight was cancelled due to the following unforeseen circumstances:
(i) government mandated border closures between Victoria and the state from which you are returning; or
(ii) airline cancellations provided that the airline did not offer a replacement flight which would have resulted in you returning to Melbourne Airport to collect your vehicle and exit the Melbourne Airport carpark as per your original online booking; or
b) you were unable to fly due to physical illness or incapacity.

3.On the Refunds page you will be required to complete your contact details including name, email, phone number, vehicle registration and online booking reference number.
4.In the comments section of the Refunds page please quote the Booking Number from your booking confirmation email.
5. You will be required to provide supporting documentation by uploading scanned copies of cancellation evidence from either your carrier airline or medical provider. You will also need to provide a scan of the overstay fees that you are seeking to have refunded. Without providing the required supporting documentation your overstay fees will not be refunded.
7. Please note that Overstay Guarantee Refunds will only be granted for one of the two reasons listed in clause 1.
8. Melbourne Airport reserves the right to request further information to validate your refund claim if required.
9. The Overstay Guarantee Refund is valid for online bookings only and the terms and conditions that apply to Melbourne Airport’s online booking system (https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/Passengers/Parking/General-parking-info/Parking-Terms-and-Conditions
) continue to apply.
10. Overstay Guarantee Refunds will be confirmed via email and processed within 14 working days of approval.
