    Online booking FAQ

    How do I change my arrival or departure date or times?

    All fare types can be amended up to 2 hours prior to your booking entry time. Simply go to 'manage my booking' to cancel your booking. See parking terms and conditions for full details. If there is a fare difference for your new booking, you will be required  to pay any difference.

    How do I cancel my booking?

    **Update to our usual cancellation terms due to COVID-19**
     
    ALL Fares: For your flexibility and convenience, we’ve updated all our fares to allow free cancellations any time prior to arrival, until 31 October 2020, after which normal fare terms will apply..

    For your flexibility and convenience, all our fares can be cancelled, free of charge, up to 2 hours prior to your booking entry time. Simply go to 'manage my booking' to cancel to your booking. See parking terms and conditions for full details.

    Will I be given a specific parking space with my booking?

    No, there is no specific bay allocation within our car parks. Instead, you are free to park in any available parking space within your chosen car park. Simply follow the green light indicators in the Terminal Car Parks to find a park more quickly.

    Can I enter the car park earlier or later than my confirmed booking time?
    You may arrive up to one hour before your booked entry time. If you arrive any earlier than the time prior to one hour before your booked entry time, you will be charged at drive-up rates for your entire stay (noting that these rates may vary from the rates quoted via the online booking system) and you will not be entitled to a refund or credit on those charges.     You may enter a car park any time after your booked entry time, or exit a car park any time before your booked exit time, without incurring any additional fees. If you exit a car park before your booked exit time (as confirmed by Melbourne Airport via email), you will not be entitled to a refund or adjustment. There is a 1 hour grace period for exit after your booked exit time. If you exit more than 1 hour after your booked exit time, you will be charged for the extra time beyond one hour after your booked exit time at Melbourne Airport’s Overstay Tariff car park rates (noting that these rates may vary from the rates quoted via the online booking system) and you will not be entitled to a refund or credit on those charges.     Can I enter with a different credit card to the one used at the time of booking?

    To avoid accidental additional charges, you'll need to enter the car park with the same card you nominated at the time of your online booking. Currently we are unable to record a second credit card, so we recommend that you book with one that will be in your possession at the time of entering the car park, as this will be your ticket to enter. If you are unable to do so, collect a ticket on entry, then call help on exit so we can manage your booking to avoid additional changes.

    Can I book online for a short stay?

    Yes, online bookings are available for short or long stays. Please note that you must book at least 2 hours prior to your arrival time when making a booking online.

    Can I book disabled parking?

    All of our car parks have disabled bays available and you can follow the online booking instructions. Once you arrive, simply proceed to any of the allocated disabled bays within the carpark. View the location of our disabled bays.

    How far ahead do I need to book online?

    You can book your park online from 12 months in advance up to 2 hours before your arrival time. To secure the best price, book your parking as early as possible.

    What payment methods do you accept for online bookings?

    You can make an online booking with your VISA, MasterCard, or American Express card. Melbourne Airport Parking does not charge credit card fees with your online booking. Diners Club cards not accepted online.

    I've lost my booking confirmation – what do I do?

    Don't worry, you are still able to enter and exit the booked car park. Simply insert the credit card you used to make the booking at the boom gate. Please the help button at entry if you're experiencing issues.

    Can I receive a refund if I stay shorter than my pre-booked time?

    Online bookings offer a discount price on parking, however they are only available for pre-bookings only. Once you enter the car park, you won't be able to change your length of stay. You won't be eligible for a refund if you end up staying shorter than your booking period.

    General parking FAQ

    What's the maximum time I can park my car for?

    You can book online for up to 45 days of parking. Drive up parking is available for an unlimited time period, however you'll need to notify us if it's longer than 60 days.

    How often does the Value Car Park courtesy bus run?

    Our free courtesy bus run seven days a week. From 1 December, 2020 buses will run on demand to service incoming and outgoing flights. 

    Where does the Value Car Park courtesy bus stop?

    There are 8 stops in the Value Car Park and stops at every terminal in the following order: Terminal 4, Terminal 3 and Terminal 2, then Terminal 1.

    Where can I park my motorcycle? Can I receive a discounted fare?

    Allocated motorcycle parking is located within the Terminal 1, 2 & 3 Car Park. You're also free to park within any of the other available bays. Please note, normal car parking rates apply for motorcycles. See more information about motorcycle parking.

    Where can I park my bike?

    There are bicycle racks available on the ground level of the Terminal 1, 2 & 3 Car Park. Please note, it is not permitted to park bicycles on footpaths, walkways, entry/exit doors, next to fire hydrants/hose reels or in stairwells. Bicycles left in non-permitted places will be removed.     Can I bring a different vehicle to the one I registered with my booking?

    If you choose to drive a different car on the day, please update your booking with new registration details. Simply go to 'manage my booking' to update to your booking up to 2-hours prior to your booked entry time.

    What are the height and length restrictions of your car parks?

    Our parking bays are standard length, and can't accommodate oversized vehicles such as campervans or trailers.

    Height restrictions of our carparks are:

    • Terminal car parks (T123, T4) = 2.2m
    • Premium parking = 2.2m
    • Value Car Park = 2.2m
    • Business Car Park = 2.3m
