Overview
Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne) Pty Limited (APAM) proposes to develop industrial warehouses, associated roads, pavement and services within the Melbourne Airport Business Park. The proposed action is located at 66 Sky Road, Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine, Victoria 3045.
The project would develop land west of the existing Sky Road area for large manufacturing, logistics and industrial warehouse units, together with associated offices, hardstand areas, car parking, landscaping and services. The warehouses are expected to be delivered over approximately five years, subject to market and tenant requirements.
The proposed action is a controlled action under the EPBC Act. The controlling provisions are listed threatened species and communities under sections 18 and 18A, and Commonwealth land under sections 26 and 27A. The preliminary documentation assesses the potential impacts of the proposed action, including impacts on the Natural Temperate Grassland of the Victorian Volcanic Plain, and describes the proposed avoidance, mitigation, management and offset measures.
