There are disruptions due to construction work around Melbourne Airport. Please check this list so you can plan ahead.

Due to ongoing construction in the T123 car park pick-up and drop-off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times.

To avoid congestion, we recommend using the equivalent pick-up and drop-off facilities at nearby Terminal 4 car park, just a short 10-minute walk from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Simply drive to the Terminal 4 Car Park and proceed to Level 2 for drop-offs or Level 1 for pick-ups.

Please refer to the map below, where each impact is labelled with a corresponding number for easy reference.

1A. Lane 3 – Public Pick-Up. 6^th –9^th May, Midnight–07:00: 3 parking bays temporarily closed.

1B. Lane 4 – Public Pick-Up
• 6^th –9th May, 11:00–15:00: Both lanes closed. Public redirected to Lane 3.
• 6^th –9^th May, Midnight–07:00: Both lanes closed. Public redirected to Lane 3.

2A. Levels 1–6: Approximately 20 bays permanently closed on each level for lift construction.

2B. Level 1:20 bays temporarily closed for VHA boom gate works.

2C. Level 1 – Qantas Valet Access: 6^th –7th May, 23:00–04:30: Lift and stair access to Level 2 closed. Personnel on-site and detour signage in place.

2D. Levels 2–6 Access: Enter via the alternate rear ramp from Level 1 (main entrance ramp remains closed).

2E. Level 2: 580 bays temporarily closed (former Premium Valet and Premium Self-Park area).

2F. Level 3: 260 bays permanently closed for construction of the new drop-off zone.

3. Car Park Exit: Three boom gates operational. Overnight lane closures in place from 23:00–04:00.

4. Car Park Entrance: New entrance ramp now open.

5. Car Rental Returns: Access via Centre Road.

6. Arrivals Drive: Reduced to three lanes. Forecourt Lanes 2, 3, and 4 now exit via the Melbourne Drive intersection.

7. Pedestrian Access: Detour in place between Value Car Park and terminals.

8. T1 Taxi Rank: Two taxi bays permanently closed.

9. Departures Drive: Reduced to one lane at the T1 end (near Melbourne Drive) from 28th April through December 2025.

10. Naarm Way Ramp: One lane remains closed on the ramp from Tullamarine Freeway to T4 Terminal Car Park.

11. Northbound Lane Access: One lane open from 10:00–15:00, Sunday to Thursday (until 16th May).

12. Access: No access during this period.

• Assistance is available for passengers in the forecourt area.
• Plan for up to 30 minutes of additional travel time to account for potential delays.
• For smoother pick-ups, use the T4 pick-up area to avoid congestion in the T123 forecourt.
