There are disruptions due to construction work around Melbourne Airport. Please check this list so you can plan ahead.

Due to ongoing construction in the T123 car park pick-up and drop-off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times.

To avoid congestion, we recommend using the equivalent pick-up and drop-off facilities at nearby Terminal 4 car park, just a short 10-minute walk from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Simply drive to the Terminal 4 Car Park and proceed to Level 2 for drop-offs or Level 1 for pick-ups.

Please refer to the map below, where each impact is labelled with a corresponding number for easy reference.

1A. Lane 1 – 12^th – 16^th & 21^st – 24^th May 01:00-04:00: Both lanes closed, diversions in place:

• Skybus: no impacts to Skybus services expected. Road closures in place after the last service and before the last service of the day.
• Uber and Taxi T1 & T2 ranks redirected to Lane 3 (public pick-up area).
• Qantas Staff and Value Car Park Bus T1 & T2 stops redirected to Lane 2 (off airport and groups and charters pick-up area).
• T2 Arrivals Hall seating area closed.

1B. Lane 2 – Group & Charter Buses

• 11^th – 16^th & 21^st – 24^th May, 21:00–05:00: 1 lane closed.

1C. Lane 4 – Public Pick-Up
 • 12^th –16^th & 21^st – 23^rd May, 11:00–15:00: Both lanes closed. Public redirected to Lane 3.

1D. Departures Drive (in front of Terminal 2)

• 11^th – 16^th & 21^st – 24^th May, 21:00–05:00: 1 lane closed in front of Terminal 2.

2A. Levels 1–6: Approximately 20 bays permanently closed on each level for lift construction.

2B. Level 1:20 bays temporarily closed for VHA boom gate works.

2D. Levels 2–6 Access: Enter via the alternate rear ramp from Level 1 (main entrance ramp remains closed).

2E. Level 2: 580 bays temporarily closed (former Premium Valet and Premium Self-Park area).

2F. Level 3: 260 bays permanently closed for construction of the new drop-off zone.

3. Car Park Exit: Three boom gates operational. Overnight lane closures in place from 23:00–04:00.

4. Car Park Entrance: New entrance ramp in operation.

5. Car Rental Returns: Access via Centre Road.

6. Arrivals Drive: Reduced to three lanes. Forecourt Lanes 2, 3, and 4 now exit via the Melbourne Drive intersection.

7. Pedestrian Access: Detour in place between Value Car Park and terminals.

8. T1 Taxi Rank: New Taxi Rank scheduled for 13^th May  Tuesday 04:00 AM opening

9. Departures Drive: Reduced to one lane at the T1 end (near Melbourne Drive) from 28th April through December 2025.

10. Triple lane closure on Arrival Drive and Northbound Slow lane closure on 15 May 2025 between 2:00AM & 4:00AM

11. Naarm Way Ramp: One lane remains closed on the ramp from Tullamarine Freeway to T4 Terminal Car Park.

12. Bonney Court, Centre Rd Slip Lane Closure & Centre Rd Median closure (12 May 2025 12:00PM to 4:00AM) 

 13. Access: No access during this period.

14. Single fast lane closure on corner of Southbound Centre Rd & Melbourne Drive on ramp 12 May 2025 between 12:00PM to 2:00PM

• Assistance is available for passengers in the forecourt area.
• Plan for up to 30 minutes of additional travel time to account for potential delays.
• For smoother pick-ups, use the T4 pick-up area to avoid congestion in the T123 forecourt.
