Car parks are busy

ALL car parks are very busy this week, with limited drive-up spots available. Please consider alternative transport options. Please have your QR code ready for a smooth entry and exit. Our roads and car parks may have changed since your last visit. Due to ongoing construction in the T123 car park pick-up and drop-off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times. Learn about the Naarm Way Stage 2 project to plan ahead: https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/plan-ahead. To avoid congestion, we recommend using the equivalent pick-up and drop-off facilities at nearby Terminal 4 car park, just a short 10-minute walk from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Simply drive to the Terminal 4 Car Park and proceed to Level 2 for drop-offs or Level 1 for pick-ups. Thank you for your patience.

Melbourne Airport landed its first fashion show last night with models showcasing the latest looks from Aussie brands: Country Road, Witchery, Sportsgirl, RipCurl, Sunglass Hut and Peter Alexander in Terminal 4.

Five different traveller looks hit the runway including ‘Executive’, ‘The Surfer’, ‘Weekend getaway for him and for her’ and ‘The Red-eye’, appealing to the airport’s varied domestic passenger markets.

Melbourne Airport also issued a special fashion week edition of its retail guide ‘Journey’ to coincide with the festival. To view the magazine visit melbourneairport.com.au/journey.

A pilot dressed in a China Eastern uniform led the catwalk, while two China Eastern cabin crew members walked alongside in the terminal.

Melbourne Airport Chief of Retail, Rosemary Earner, said the airport was thrilled to partner with Melbourne Fashion Week to deliver the runway show.

“We’re always looking at ways to incorporate Melbourne’s culture at the airport so we decided to host a pop-up event as part of Melbourne Fashion Week to highlight our retailers like never before,” said Ms Earner.
“Travellers got a real kick out of seeing the terminal transform into a runway and we hope to deliver more surprises for passengers in future.”

Melbourne Airport held two runway shows at 4pm and 5pm for 20 minutes respectively.

Earlier in the week international model, Adut Akech visited the airport’s T2 Luxury Precinct for a private tour.

Ms Earner said she was pleased to show Adut the airport’s luxury offering which includes 11-high end stores.
