Car parks are busy

ALL car parks are very busy this week, with limited drive-up spots available. Please consider alternative transport options. Please have your QR code ready for a smooth entry and exit. Our roads and car parks may have changed since your last visit. Due to ongoing construction in the T123 car park pick-up and drop-off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times. Learn about the Naarm Way Stage 2 project to plan ahead: https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/plan-ahead. To avoid congestion, we recommend using the equivalent pick-up and drop-off facilities at nearby Terminal 4 car park, just a short 10-minute walk from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Simply drive to the Terminal 4 Car Park and proceed to Level 2 for drop-offs or Level 1 for pick-ups. Thank you for your patience.

Melbourne Airport’s hospitality overhaul is almost complete with Pickett’s Deli and Rotisserie, Shane Delia’s Middle Ground and Cobb Lane all open in between Terminals 2 and 3.

Other new venues now open include: Hawker Bar, Axil Coffee Roasters, Proud Mary and Grill’d. EARL Canteen will open in mid-2020, while Australia’s first airport brewery, run by Stomping Ground Brewery Co, will open in February.

Melbourne Airport Acting Chief of Retail Rosemary Earner said the airport’s new hospitality offering represented the city’s renowned foodie culture.

“We carefully selected a broad range of local hospitality venues and brands that showcase the city’s diverse culinary offering for the millions of travellers that fly through Melbourne Airport each year,” said Ms Earner.

“Our new restaurants and cafes, nestled in Terminals 2 to 3, serve a variety of cuisines from modern Australian, Mediterranean and Asian, to name a few.

“Travellers can now grab Scott Pickett’s signature bacon and egg roll, a salad from Middle Ground, or yum cha from Hawker Bar – there’s plenty of choice.”

Chef and Melbourne restaurateur Scott Pickett said he is thrilled to be open at the airport.

“The space looks amazing and the food being delivered is a true representation of the Melbourne casual dining scene. Whether you are flying out for a Christmas break, stopping by for business or heading to Melbourne over the festive season, pop in and try our signature rotisserie chicken roll. Hope to see you soon!”

Chef and co-owner of Middle Ground, in partnership with Airport Retail Enterprises, Shane Delia, said he is beyond excited to bring Middle Ground to Melbourne Airport.

“As a frequent traveller I am confident that the fresh, healthy and tasty flavours of our menu will be warmly welcomed by travellers and airport staff alike. Vibrant salads, sandwiches, and flavoursome bowls packed full of exotic Middle Eastern flavours, Middle Ground is going to be an exciting addition to the Airport’s dining offering,” he said.
