The car parks at Melbourne Airport are busy

The car parks at Melbourne Airport are busy this week The Value Car Park is nearly sold out Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. If you do have a car park booking, please arrive 30 minutes earlier than usual and have your QR code ready for a smooth entry and exit. Due to ongoing construction in the Terminal T1 T2 T3 car park pick-up and drop-off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times if you are being dropped off by a loved one, taxi or Uber. To avoid congestion, we recommend using the equivalent pick-up and drop-off facilities at nearby Terminal 4 car park, which is a 10-minute walk to and from Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Simply drive to the Terminal 4 Car Park and proceed to Level 2 for drop-offs or Level 1 for pick-ups. Thank you for your patience while we are building your airport.

Now boarding! Melbourne Airport looks to fill hundreds of jobs.

The airport is Victoria’s largest employment precinct outside of the Melbourne CBD, and the positions on offer range from cabin crew, front of house hospitality and retail, through to law enforcement, transport, and security.

More than 40 airport-based businesses are on the lookout for staff, welcoming resumes from entry-level applicants through to senior management.

Melbourne Airport CEO Lorie Argus said it’s the perfect time to start a career in aviation, with passenger numbers on the rise.

“The airport has bounced back to 88% of pre-Covid passenger volumes, so it’s vital our staffing levels keep pace with traveller demand,” she said.

“Not only are we seeing more people travelling, but we’re also renovating parts of the terminal – such as adding 11 new restaurants in Terminal 1 – creating new retail and hospitality opportunities.

“Qantas, Jetstar, Rex, Bonza and Virgin all have vacancies to fill, and a couple of our international carriers are also recruiting.

“This is the first time we’ve held a careers fair on-airport, and it’s a great opportunity to get a feel for the environment and speak directly with employers.”

Melbourne Airport’s Jobs Fair will be held in front of Terminal 4 and will operate over two separate sessions from 2pm to 4pm and 4pm to 6pm.
