  • Where do I catch a taxi?

    Taxi ranks are located on the ground floor outside T1 and in the T4 Transport Hub. For your safety you should not accept any offer of taxi services outside of the designated taxi ranks at Terminals 1 and 4.

  • How can I travel to Melbourne CBD from the airport?

    You have a number of options to travel to Melbourne Airport from the CBD:

    • Private car with many parking options at the airport available
    • Ride share cars
    • Taxi
    • Car Rental
    • SkyBus Express Bus Service runs a regular express service from Melbourne Airport to the City Centre every 10 minutes, 24/7
    • A number of other bus services operate from the airport to areas throughout Victoria. Information on destinations and schedules can be obtained from information desks within the airport, or through link below. These bus companies are authorised by Public Transport Victoria and Melbourne Airport to provide regular passenger services from the airport.

  • Where do I catch a bus at Melbourne Airport?

    Regional, direct, group and charter buses all depart from the Terminal 4 Transport Hub.

    SkyBus operate an express service carrying travellers to and from the airport via the CBD, St Kilda and Frankston. They are located outside the main entrance of Terminal 4.

  • What rideshare services are available?

    Rideshare services available include uberX, UberBLACK, Ola, Didi and GoCatch. Rideshare drivers pick up travellers from two locations: Qantas, International and Virgin Australia passengers from lane 1 of the forecourt; Jetstar, Rex or Airnorth passengers from level 2 inside the T4 Ground Transport Hub. Passengers can be dropped off anywhere along Departure Drive and the T4 Transport Hub drop off zone on level 1. This is the same for all the public drop off zones. Each rideshare operator as the provider of the service is responsible for determining the price it charges its riders. You can get fare estimates on the respective rideshare operators websites. There is a charge to use a rideshare service from the airport. The current rideshare charge is $4.48 (inc GST) per trip, which rideshare may choose to pass through to the passenger.   • Are there baggage storage lockers available at Melbourne Airport?

    Yes, there are lockers available on the Ground Floor of the T4 multi-level carpark, near the escalators. The cost of rental for these lockers are for 24 hours and several pieces of baggage can be placed in a locker depending on the size of the locker and the bags.

  • Showers

    Yes, there are shower facilities located in T2. Please note there is no facility to rent towels.

  • Can I purchase foreign currency at Melbourne Airport?

    Travelex has multi-currency ATMs located throughout the International terminal where you can buy a range of foreign currencies. Currency exchange booths are also located throughout the International Terminal.

  • Where can I find lost property?

    Melbourne Airport has a lost property service located in Terminal 3, behind the Virgin Australia check-in.

    Contact lost property direct for inquiries about items lost while inside the airport. Please note if you lost an item on an aircraft, you will have to notify the airline.

  • Medical Centre

    Yes, Melbourne Airport Health and Medical Centre is located on level 1 in T1 (Qantas domestic).

    Open hours - Monday–Thursday, 8am – 4pm, Friday, 9.30am – 5pm, Closed Saturday, Sunday and public holidays

  • Mobile Phone Charging Stations

    Phone charging stations are available at various locations in both the International and Domestic terminals.

    If you have forgotten your phone charger, don’t worry. You can purchase a charger from the following stores:

  • Pharmacy/Chemist

    Yes, there is a pharmacy in T1, T2 and T4.

  • Does Melbourne Airport have free Wi-Fi?

    We sure do. It’s available throughout the terminals (T2, T3 &T4) including public spaces. Please note that Wi-Fi connectivity is not available in Terminal 1, which is operated by Qantas.

  • Are there any smoking areas at Melbourne Airport?

    Designated smoking areas are limited at Melbourne Airport.

    Melbourne Airport has created smoke-free areas at our Arrivals and Departures entrance and exit in T2, T3 and T4, clearly marked with signage.

    If you are a smoker, we ask that you please ensure you use the designated smoking areas provided and do not smoke in the marked smoke-free areas.

    Victorian and Commonwealth Governments do not allow smoking in enclosed areas including the terminal building. Customs and Border Security do not permit transit passengers to exit the terminal. For these reasons, Melbourne Airport is unable to provide smoking areas for transiting passengers.

    The use of e-cigarettes is also not permitted within the terminal building and can only be used within external designated smoking areas at Melbourne Airport.
