Overview

Flights booked and just the parking left to sort? If you’ll be away for an extended period, our Value Car Parks at Melbourne Airport offer the most budget-friendly parking option onsite. Book online up to 12 months in advance, and lock in the best available parking rate early.

Melbourne Airport has two Value Car Parks, Value North and Value South, and the terminal you fly from decides which one you can book. When booking, the Value South Car Park only appears when you pick Terminal 3 (Virgin Australia) or Terminal 4 (Jetstar, Rex and Link Airways) as your terminal. The Value North Car Park serves all terminals, so you can book parking here whichever terminal you’re flying from.

How Do You Book a Value Car Park at Melbourne Airport Online?

To book a Value Car Park online, click the gold ‘Parking’ button in the top right corner of the Melbourne Airport Parking & Transport page or tap ‘Get my quote’ from any of our parking product pages. Then, follow these steps:

  1. Select your entry and exit dates and times for the trip, then select the terminal you’re flying from. This decides which Value Car Park you can book.
  2. Enter a promo code if you have one, then click ‘Continue to pricing’.
  3. Choose Value North or Value South from the parking options shown, and click ‘Book now’.
  4. Add optional extras like the Overstay Guarantee and then pay with a credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The price you see is the rate you pay, with no booking or card fees on top.

After that, we’ll send you a confirmation email with the QR code. Save the QR code to your phone, and scan it at the boom gate to get in and out of the car park.

If you have accessibility needs, there are Accessible Parking bays in both Value Car Parks. In the Value North Car Park, the Accessible bays sit closest to Bus Shelter A, while in the Value South Car Park, they’re closest to Bus Shelter J. These work on a ‘first-come, first-in’ basis, and you need to display a valid Accessible Parking Permit when you park here.

Need special assistance? Book the free Melbourne Airport Assist service at least 24 hours before you fly. Our team can help you between the terminal and the Value Car Park bus stop at the terminal end.

Why Does Value South Only Appear When You Select Terminal 3 or Terminal 4?

The Value South Car Park appears as an option only after you select Terminal 3 or Terminal 4. The free 24/7 Value South courtesy bus runs directly to the T4 Transport Hub only, with Terminal 3 just a short walk away. The Value North Car Park shuttle bus stops near Terminal 1 and Terminal 4.

The terminal to choose is the one you’re flying from.

  • Terminal 1 serves all Qantas domestic flights.
  • Terminal 2 is the international terminal.
  • Terminal 3 serves all Virgin Australia domestic flights.
  • Terminal 4 serves all Jetstar, Rex and Link Airways domestic flights.

Choose Terminal 3 or Terminal 4, and both our Value Car Parks show up in the quote. Choose Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, and you’ll see the Value North Car Park.

To get to the Value Car Parks, take Exit 18 off the Tullamarine Freeway. The Value North Car Park has entrances on Mercer Drive and Airport Drive, while the Value South Car Park has an entry on Airport Drive and a second on Francis Briggs Road. Check Google Maps for live traffic before you drive off, and give yourself a buffer on top of your usual drive time so you arrive with time to spare.

When Can You Book a Value Car Park at Melbourne Airport?

You can book a Value Car Park online from 12 months ahead, right up until 2 hours before you arrive. The earlier you book within that window, the better the parking rate you’re likely to find. Online prices shift with demand and travel dates, so you’ll usually lock in a better rate than drive-up rates if you book in advance.

Booking online ahead of time also comes with a few things that driving up doesn’t.

  • Extra buffer time on either end of your booked times. All online bookings come with a built-in grace period. That’s an hour before and after your booked times for stays under four hours or 2 hours on either side for longer ones.
  • Option to add the Overstay Guarantee. When booking online, you can add the Overstay Guarantee. This optional add-on covers extra parking charges if your return is delayed due to a cancelled flight with no replacement, a border closure or an illness preventing you from flying home.
  • Parking sorted before you leave home. Booking online early gets your parking booked for your travel dates, rather than driving up and taking your chances on a free space.

Can You Amend, Cancel or Extend a Value Car Park Booking Online?

Yes. Using your booking reference, you can amend, cancel or extend a Value Car Park booking online through the My Bookings page up to 2 hours before your booked entry. If you change your dates and the new booking costs more, you just pay the difference.

Already parked and find you need longer? You can extend your stay on the same My Bookings page any time before your booked exit time. Additional charges may apply if the extended booking runs into a new 24-hour period.
