ALL car parks are very busy this Labour Day long weekend, with limited drive-up spots available. Our roads and car parks may have changed since your last visit. Due to ongoing construction in the T123 car park Pick up and Drop off areas, passengers should plan for potential delays of up to an hour during peak times. Overstay Guarantee - Terms & Conditions

1. Overstay Guarantee Refunds are granted if you were prevented from returning to Melbourne Airport to collect your vehicle and exit the Melbourne Airport car park as per your online booking for one of the following reasons:

a) your return flight was cancelled due to the following unforeseen circumstances:

(i) government mandated border closures between Victoria and the state from which you are returning; or

(ii) airline cancellations provided that the airline did not offer a replacement flight which would have resulted in you returning to Melbourne Airport to collect your vehicle and exit the Melbourne Airport car park as per your original online booking.

b) you were unable to fly due to physical illness or incapacity.

c) your return flight to Melbourne Airport was delayed and arrived later than the Melbourne Airport’s published arrivals schedule for any reason.

2. To validate your Overstay Guarantee Refund please visit the following Refunds page on our website: https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/Passengers/Parking/General-parking-info/Amendments-refunds.

3. On the Refunds page you will be required to complete your contact details including name, email, phone number, vehicle registration and online booking reference number.

4. In the comments section of the Refunds page please quote the Booking Number from your booking confirmation email.

5. You will be required to provide supporting documentation by uploading scanned copies of your return flight tickets, evidence of delay or cancellation from either your carrier airline or medical provider. You will also need to provide a scan of the overstay fees that you are seeking to have refunded. Without providing the required supporting documentation, the overstay fees will not be refunded. 

6. All personal information provided as part of this refund application will be collected, used and stored in accordance with the Melbourne Airport Privacy Policy (https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/Passengers/Privacy-policy).

7. Please note that Overstay Guarantee Refunds will only be granted for one of the  three reasons listed in clause 1.

8. Melbourne Airport reserves the right to request further information to validate your refund claim if required.

9. The Overstay Guarantee is valid for online bookings only and the Melbourne Airport Parking Terms and Conditions (https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/melbourne-airport-parking-terms-and-conditions) and the Melbourne Airport Car Parks - Online Booking  Terms and Conditions (https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/Passengers/Parking/General-parking-info/Parking-Terms-and-Conditions) continue to apply.

10. If the Overstay Guarantee Refund is validated and granted in accordance with these terms and conditions, Melbourne Airport will confirm this via email and process the Overstay Guarantee Refund within 14 business days of approval.
