Every Melbourne Airport car park has support in place for moments like this. Whether you’ve parked for a few hours or a full week, there’s a simple process to follow and someone nearby to help if you need it.

If the ticket isn’t in your pocket, wallet or bag, don’t worry. Melbourne Airport car parks are set up so drivers can still exit even if they don’t have the ticket on hand. The key is to follow the normal exit process and use the support available for assistance.

Here’s what to do:

Step 1: Head to the exit gate as you normally would. Follow the signs to the exit gate and stop at the machine when you’re ready to leave.

Step 2: Use the Help Points if you need assistance. You’ll find Help Points throughout the car park, including at the exit machines. Press the HELP button to connect with our friendly customer service team.

Step 3: Let the team know your ticket isn’t with you. They’ll guide you through the next step so you can complete the exit process.

Step 4: Complete the payment at the machine. You’ll be asked to finalise the parking payment at the machine before exiting, which you can do using a credit card or mobile wallet.

• Access lower parking rates. Online rates are often lower than the drive-up price, so planning ahead can help you avoid paying more when you arrive at the car park. It also gives you the chance to compare options and choose what works best for your trip.
• Sort parking well ahead of your trip. You can book parking online up to 12 months in advance, which makes it easy to organise parking at the same time you’re planning flights or accommodation.
• Build flexibility into your travel plans. Every online booking includes a grace period around your entry and exit times. For shorter stays under four hours, you can arrive up to one hour early or leave up to one hour later. If your booking is longer than four hours, that window extends to two hours on either side, which can help if traffic or travel plans shift slightly.
• Update your booking online if plans change. You can manage your parking through My Bookings if your plans shift. If you haven’t parked yet, you can modify your entry date or time up to two hours before arrival. If you’re already parked and your return plans move, you can extend your stay online by updating your exit date and time.
• Add extra cover for unexpected delays. When you book parking online, you can add the optional Overstay Guarantee to your booking. This covers additional parking charges if your trip runs longer than planned due to situations like flight cancellations, border closures or illness.

You can enter from Mercer Drive or Airport Drive and then take a free bus ride that runs every 15 minutes, around the clock. The bus stops are near Terminal 1 and Terminal 4. If you’re flying Qantas domestically from Terminal 1 or departing internationally from Terminal 2, the Terminal 1 stop is the most convenient. Travellers flying from Terminals 3 or 4, including Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Rex and Link Airways, will find the Terminal 4 stop the better fit.
• Value Express: Travelling during busy periods such as school holidays? Value Express is a seasonal valet-style service within the Value Car Park. You simply drop off your car near Bus Stop B, hop straight onto the next bus to the terminals, and one of our friendly team members parks the vehicle for you. You can book Value Express online in advance or upgrade on arrival, subject to availability. This option works well if you’re parking in Value Car Park but prefer to skip finding a space and head straight towards the terminal.
• Terminal Car Parks: Want to park within walking distance of the terminals? These multi-level car parks are right across from all terminals. There are two locations. The T123 Terminal Car Park connects to Terminal 1, 2 and 3 via a covered link bridge and suits travellers flying Qantas, Virgin Australia or heading overseas. The T4 Terminal Car Park sits about 100 metres from Terminal 4, making it a good option if you’re flying with Jetstar, Rex, Link Airways or Virgin Australia. Both locations include a mix of open-air and undercover parking bays.
• Premium Car Parks: If you’d like to park as close to the terminal doors as possible while keeping your keys with you, these car parks offer self-parking bays on Level 1 of both the T123 and T4 Car Parks. Every parking space sits fully undercover, which can make arriving with luggage a little easier in hot or wet weather. Travellers who want a quick walk to the terminal often choose this option, especially for early departures or short trips.
• Melbourne Airport Valet: Prefer to skip the search for a parking space? Here, you simply drive to Level 1 of the T123 Car Park, hand your keys to our valet team and walk straight inside to check-in. Your car will be parked for you, so you don’t need to circle for a bay, carry bags across the car park or remember where you left the vehicle. Many travellers choose this option for early departures, family trips or busy travel periods. You can also ask about optional car cleaning, so you return to a freshly cleaned car.
• Qantas Valet: Flying Qantas domestically and want the shortest walk to the terminal? This valet option operates from Level 1 of the T123 Car Park, with handover bays closest to the Terminal 1 entrance. Just drive in, hand over your keys and walk straight to check-in.  All travellers can use it, and if you’re a Qantas Frequent Flyer, you can earn points each time you park here. Optional car cleaning is available as an extra while you’re away.

Arriving on two wheels? Motorcycle parking is available on the Ground Floor of the T123 Car Park, near the exit gates.

Melbourne Airport also offers accessible parking spaces near terminal entrances across its car parks. If you hold a valid Disability Parking Permit, you can use these marked parking bays when you arrive. Assisting a Companion Card holder? You can request parking refunds after your visit. Just keep the receipt and submit the refund request online, including your vehicle registration and phone number.

Step 1: Open your booking confirmation email. After you book parking online, Melbourne Airport sends a confirmation email that includes your booking reference and the parking QR code. Searching your inbox for the booking email is often the quickest way to access it again.
