Melbourne Airport Car Wash Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions set out the basis upon which the motor vehicle owner or operator (you or your) agrees to accept the carwash services (Car Wash Services) provided by Australia Pacific Airports (Melbourne) Pty Ltd ABN 62 076 999 114 (APAM, we or our) and any of its contractors (Contractors) (the Terms).

  1. Car Wash Services may be pre-booked as part of your Valet Services parking booking at Melbourne Airport using APAM’s online booking system at https://parking.melbourneairport.com.au/en/ or, depending on availability, by booking at the premises before the Vehicle is placed in the custody, retention or control of APAM and its Contractors.
  2. Pricing is determined based on the size and model of the Vehicle. You acknowledge that if you incorrectly describe the Vehicle while booking online, APAM and its Contractors reserve the right to charge you the applicable rate for the actual size of your vehicle based on APAM’s assessment of your vehicle size on arrival.
  3. You acknowledge and agree that APAM and its Contractors may, in their absolute discretion, refuse to provide Car Wash Services for the Vehicle if the condition of your vehicle is such that it is beyond the scope of the Car Wash Services. APAM or its Contractors must issue a refund for any Car Wash Services paid for which have not been completed due to APAM exercising its discretion under this Clause 3.
  4. Subject to Clause 5, Car Wash Services are generally undertaken within 24 hours immediately prior to the scheduled collection time for the Vehicle. If you choose to collect your vehicle earlier than the scheduled collection time, you acknowledge the Car Wash Services may not be completed upon collection of the Vehicle and you may elect to:
    • wait until the Car Wash Services have been completed before collecting the Vehicle; or
    • receive a refund for the Car Wash Services which have not been completed.
  5. Car Wash Services are not provided on Sundays. APAM and its Contractors may, in their absolute discretion, refuse to provide Car Wash Services or schedule a collection time for the Vehicle on a Sunday, and you will be advised of an alternative scheduled collection time for the Vehicle within the Car Wash Service opening hours.
  6. You must report to APAM or its Contractors any issues or concerns relating to your Vehicle and the Car Wash Services before you accept the Vehicle keys and exit the Car Wash Service area, being the ground level and car detailing area of the Terminal 1, 2 & 3 car park. You acknowledge that failure to do so may result in APAM rejecting your refund request if we are unable to determine whether the issue arose from the Car Wash Services performed on your Vehicle or after the collection of your Vehicle.
  7. Despite anything else in these Terms, APAM and its Contractors reserve the right to close the car park and car wash facilities for safety, security, operational maintenance, new development requirements or where reasonably necessary to deal with circumstances beyond APAM’s reasonable control. If the Car Wash Services are not provided in accordance with this Clause 7, APAM or its Contractors:

You acknowledge and agree that the Vehicle may be exposed to weather and elements while it is in an open-air area for the purposes of the Car Wash Services, for drop off / pick up, in transit (including to and from the car wash area and the valet parking area) and whilst parked at Melbourne Airport.
  9. Without limiting APAM’s exclusion of responsibility for any goods left in your vehicle, you acknowledge that APAM may refuse to undertake internal Car Wash Services if any personal property or other items are left in the Vehicle until those items have been removed from the Vehicle. If you fail to remove such items from the Vehicle and APAM does not undertake internal Car Wash Services due to that failure, then, subject to any rights you have under the ACL or at law, APAM or its Contractors may not provide you with a refund in respect of that booking for the internal Car Wash Services.
  10. Melbourne Airport Car Wash Services are managed by APAM and operated by Camberwell Carwash Management Pty Ltd (ABN 50 669 484 986) and any other contractor appointed by APAM from time to time. For more information, visit [insert hyperlink to APAM car wash website page].
