Overview
As one of Australia’s busiest travel hubs, things move quickly at Melbourne Airport. From flights around the clock to travellers arriving from every direction, getting where you need to be—and getting there on time—matters.
That’s why we’ve made airport parking simple. At Melbourne Airport, you’ll find long-term and short-term parking options to suit every kind of traveller. Whether it’s a quick drop-off, an overnight stay, or a week away, there’s an on-site car park to match. And because they’re all located within the airport precinct, you're never far from the airport terminal.
Shortest Walk To Check-In? Book Premium Self-Park
Premium Self-Park is the closest self-parking option to the terminals. The parking spaces are right near the terminal entry points, so you can park and walk straight to check-in without wasting time navigating lifts, levels or long paths.
You’ll find Premium Self-Park on Level 1 of both the T1 T2 T3 and T4 Terminal Car Parks. That means easy access no matter which terminal you’re flying from—whether it’s Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar or Rex. It’s a solid choice if you're flying early, travelling with family, or just want to get moving faster. The bays offer undercover parking, too, so you won’t have to think about the weather when you're loading or unloading bags.
Short Walk Without Going Premium? Park at Terminal Car Parks
The Terminal Car Parks are a convenient choice if you’re after a short walk to check-in without paying extra. The T1 T2 T3 Terminal Car Park connects directly to Terminals 1, 2 and 3 via a covered link bridge. That’s ideal for Qantas, Virgin Australia and all international flights. Flying Jetstar, Rex or Link Airways from Terminal 4? The T4 Terminal Car Park is just 100 metres from the entrance.
Both locations put you close to the terminals, with easy access whether you're flying domestic or international. These airport car parks work well for anyone who wants to park and be on their way without needing shuttle service. If you're here to drop off or pick up someone, the first 15 minutes are free.
Want To Skip Parking Altogether? Try Premium Valet or Qantas Valet
If you’d rather hand over your keys and head straight to check-in, valet parking is your quickest option. Both Premium Valet and Qantas Valet are located on Level 1 of the T1 T2 T3 Terminal Car Park. Here, you just need to pull in, drop your car with our friendly staff, and walk straight inside.
Premium Valet is ideal if you're flying from Terminals 1, 2 or 3. This parking service is a handy choice for quick work trips or when you're travelling with kids or extra bags. Your car is parked for you, and you’ll be just moments from the terminal entrance.
Qantas Valet is tailored for Qantas domestic travellers and is located right near Terminal 1. The difference? There’s no need to book online to park here. Just drive up on the day, and the valet service team will take care of the rest. Qantas Frequent Flyers also earn points for every dollar spent. Want a car wash while you’re away? Car cleaning is available for Qantas Valet customers as an optional service.
Flying for Longer? Go With the Value Car Park
If you're planning a longer trip and want to keep parking costs down, the Value Car Park is your best option. It's Melbourne Airport’s most budget-friendly long-term parking solution.
Located just off Airport Drive, this car park connects to the terminals via a free shuttle bus service that runs every 15 minutes, 24/7. The bus stops at Terminal 1 for Qantas flights and Terminal 4 for Jetstar, Rex, Link Airways, and Virgin Australia flights.
During peak travel periods, such as school holidays, you can upgrade to Value Express. This valet-style service lets you drop your car in a designated area near Bus Stop B, where the valet team will then park it for you. It’s a simple way to save even more time, especially when the car park is busy.

Just Doing a Quick Airport Run?
There are a couple of quick options that can save you time and avoid the need to loop around Melbourne Tullamarine airport. Each terminal has a designated drop-off and pick-up zone, perfect for quick goodbyes or fast exits. Just keep in mind there's a strict one-minute standing limit.
If you ned more time, park in any of the Terminal Car Parks and get the first 15 minutes free. But if you’ve arrived early and your passenger’s flight hasn’t landed yet, head to the Wait Zone on Mercer Drive. You can stay there for up to 60 minutes free before heading in. To avoid any last-minute delays, check for road delays and disruptions around the airport before you drive in, especially during peak periods.
The Quickest Way To Get From the Car Park To Check-In
Getting from the car park to check-in quickly isn’t just about where you park. It’s also about how prepared you are when you arrive. Sorting your parking ahead of time removes the friction. No second-guessing, no comparing options at the boom gate, no last-minute detours.
So, go ahead. Book early up to 12 months in advance, check the car park maps before you head out, and make your trip that little bit easier before it even begins.
