From Qantas Valet with easy terminal access to earning Qantas Points while you park, frequent travellers have plenty of ways to upgrade their airport experience. Let’s break down how you can make the most of Melbourne Airport’s parking options while enjoying extra rewards along the way.

Qantas Valet Parking Perks for Frequent Flyers

Frequent flyers know that every minute counts on the day of travel. That’s where Qantas Valet parking at Melbourne Airport steps in.

Just drive up, hand over your keys, and head straight to the dedicated check-in counters while the valet staff take care of the rest.

If you’re flying from the Qantas domestic terminal at Terminal 1 or the International terminal at Terminal 2, you’ll have easy terminal access, making your journey even smoother. Here are more reasons frequent travellers opt for this parking solution:

  • Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn Qantas Points just for parking.
  • You can opt for car detailing, exterior car wash, and interior car cleaning services so you can return to a spotless vehicle after your trip.
  • Operating hours are from 5 AM to 1 AM daily, making it a flexible choice for early flights and late arrivals.
  • Ideal for Qantas Club members who want an easy transition from car to lounge before their flight.

If Qantas Valet services aren’t the right fit for your trip, Melbourne Airport parking has plenty of options designed to suit frequent travellers.

More Parking Options at Melbourne Airport

Whether you’re in and out of Melbourne’s domestic airport for work, heading on a short-haul trip, or taking an extended international flight, having the right parking option can save time, reduce hassle, and keep costs under control. Here are more options for airport parking:

Melbourne Airport Valet

For frequent travellers who want a quick and easy way to park, our Melbourne Airport Valet service offers a straightforward solution. Located on Level 1 of the T123 Terminal Car Park, this service lets you drop off your car while valet staff handle the parking for you.

Premium Car Parks

For travellers who want to park as close as possible to the terminals and hold onto their keys, Premium parking is a great choice. Located on Level 1 of the T123 Terminal Car Park and Level 1 of the T4 Terminal Car Park, it offers quick terminal access for those on tight schedules.

As the closest self-parking option to the terminals, Premium parking is a popular parking solution for frequent travellers who need to move quickly from car to check-in. The undercover parking spaces also make it a reliable option for longer trips.

Terminal Car Parks

For frequent domestic and short-haul travellers, the Terminal Car Parks provide easy access to check-in. Available in two locations: at the T123 Terminal Car Park located directly across from Terminals 1, 2, and 3, and at the T4 Terminal Car Park, just metres from Terminal 4. Both car parks offer both undercover and open-air parking spaces, just a few minutes’ walk to the terminals - no need to catch a bus!

The T123 Terminal Car Park is best-suited for travellers flying domestically with Qantas (T1) or Virgin Australia (T3), or internationally (T2). The T4 Terminal Car Park is best-suited for travellers flying domestic with Jetstar, Rex, or Link Airways (T4) or Virgin Australia (T3) for those who can walk a little further.

Value Car Parks

Don't mind a short bus ride? The Value Car Parks are the most affordable parking options at Melbourne Airport. With budget-friendly daily rates, Value parking is a smart choice for travellers who want to park for a week or longer without paying premium prices.

While not as close as other options, Value parking offers significant savings. Plus, a 24/7 shuttle service runs every 15 minutes to and from the terminals. Choose from two locations: the Value North Car Park is larger with multiple stops within. The complementary bus stops at Terminal 1 and Terminal 4. The Value South Car Park is smaller with just one bus stop within the car park itself, and direct transfer to Terminal 4 only.

During peak holiday periods, travellers can also book Value Express. This seasonal offering, located within the Value North Car Park, works like a valet service. It allows you to drop off your car at a dedicated area, and our valet staff will park it for you so you can get on your way faster. When you get back, they’ll return your car to you promptly.

Accessible Parking

Melbourne Airport offers accessible parking in every on-site car park for travellers with a valid Accessible Parking Permit. Plus, lifts with wide doors, low-height controls, and Braille panels help with access from the moment you arrive. Support services are also available on demand, but booking special assistance in advance can help make your trip smoother.

Accessible bays are at a first-come, first-served basis. For peace of mind, travellers can book the T123 Accessible Car Park, available only to pre-booked customers. Located on Level 2 of the T123 Car Park with direct access to Terminals 1, 2, and 3 via pedestrian bridge.

If you’re assisting someone with a Companion Card, you can claim a full refund on Terminal Car Park fees for stays of two hours or less, provided proof of travel is shown.

Maximising Parking Perks and Savings for Frequent Travellers

Frequent flyers know that small decisions can make a big difference when it comes to travel convenience and costs. Here are tips to help you get the best value and make parking your car at the airport easier:

  • Book in advance. If you want to secure the most competitive rates, always pre-book your parking online. Melbourne Airport offers cheaper parking rates for online bookings compared to drive-up rates. So, planning ahead ensures you get the best deal.
  • Subscribe to our Parking Deals newsletter. By signing up, you can take advantage of exclusive offers, discounts, and promotions on Melbourne Airport parking.
  • Consider the Corporate Parking Program. If you travel regularly for work, our Corporate Parking Program offers exclusive benefits. Members get discounted rates on Terminal and Premium Car Parks, along with access cards for team members and monthly statements to simplify expense tracking.
  • Choose the right parking option. The best parking service at MEL depends on how often and how long you travel. If it’s a short-term trip, Terminal Car Parks offer a convenient walk to check-in. For longer trips, the Value Car Parks provides lower rates. But if you prefer hands-free parking, Valet customers can simply drop off their car and head straight to their flight.
  • Earn rewards by paying via credit card. Some credit cards offer cashback or frequent flyer rewards. Checking your credit card benefits before paying could help you rack up additional perks over time.
  • Take advantage of the Wait Zone: As a frequent flyer, you very well know that delays are inevitable. That’s why we’re offering up to an hour of free parking at the Wait Zone just off the Tullamarine Freeway. It’s especially helpful if you’re arriving and have arranged for pick-up but need a bit more time to go through security or the baggage carousel.

If you need help with parking rates, lost bookings, accessible parking and assistance, or any special requests, Melbourne Airport’s customer service team is also here to help.
